| How many people
can the villa accommodate? |
| The villa can comfortable sleep fifteen adults and
two children. We have accommodated groups as large as twenty people
at the villa at one time. In those cases there were small children
or teenagers that were part of the group and they slept on sofas in
different areas of the villa. |
| Does the villa
have air-conditioning? |
| All enclosed rooms at the villa are air-conditioned.
Air-conditioned rooms include all seven bedrooms and their private
bathrooms, the television/game room, the kitchen and the indoor dining
room. The main living area and outside dining area are open to take
advantage of the magnificent view and are cooled by the natural breezes
from the Pacific Ocean. |
| How large and
deep is the pool? |
| The pool is approximately 12 feet wide and 25 fee
long. It is about 4.5 feet deep. Enjoy mesmerizing views of Las Hadas
and Manzanillo Bay from the swim up bar. |
| Will blow dryers
and miscellaneous electric devices work with the plugs at the villa? |
| Yes, the villa uses the same current and all electric
devices that work in the US. |
| How old is
the villa? |
| The villa was built in the 1970’s. The individual
who built the villa was at that time the President of the Las Hadas
Resort. He had his pick of the lots in the area, and he chose this
lot because of its breathtaking views. The villa has been meticulously
maintained, no details are overlooked. |
| Are there golf
courses in the area? |
| There are three major golf courses in the nearby area,
the challenging La Mantaraya at Las Hadas Resort, the magnificent
Isla Navidad at the Grand Bay Hotel and the spectacular El Tamarindo.
Golf rates vary throughout the year and prior tee times reservations
may be required. |
| Can you scuba
dive and snorkel in the Manzanillo area? |
| Yes, scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities
in Manzanillo. There is a scuba shop not far from the villa, it is
run by a woman from the US who has the highest certification available
in the diving industry. Her shop, Underworld Scuba, rents equipment
and offers tours for the scuba and snorkeling enthusiasts. It is a
PADI Dive Center, a CMAS Dive Center and a member of PIRA (PADI International
Resort Association.) |
| How close is
the beach? |
| Manzanillo has numerous beaches. There are two within
walking distance of the villa. Playa de la Audiencia is located near
Hotel Sierra. This is the beach that the movie “10” was
filmed on, featuring Bo Derek and Dudley Moore. It is a quick car
ride or about 10 minute walk from the villa. Chairs and beach umbrellas
are available for rent. This is a good area for snorkeling, paddle
boats, jet skis, kayaks, boogie boards and banana boats rides are
available from beach vendors. Bring a cooler from the villa and spend
the day at the fun spot. |
| Do we have
access to Las Hadas Hotel? |
| Since the hotel was purchased by Grupo Brisas, they
require visitors to purchase a voucher for the day that can be exchanged
for goods and services within their facilities: Restaurants, bars,
beach tents, chairs and towels and also water sports, Golf and tennis
players pay only for the posted fees on those activities. |
| Is there Internet
access at the villa? |
| No. But there are a number of Internet Cafes in the
nearby area. |
| Is the villa
rented to more than one group at a time? |
| Each rental has private use of the villa. Whether
your group has four or twenty, you will have the villa to yourself. |
| Do you charge
for children to stay at the villa and is the villa set up for children? |
| With the exception of infants less then one year of
age, children are considered in the rental calculation. We base our
number of staff on the number of guests staying in your group. Children
keep our staff quite busy, as we strive to keep a clean and safe atmosphere
for your group. Because of staffing considerations, we must charge
for children. If you have children in your group, they must be supervised
at all times since the pool and hot tub are right off the main living
area, the staff is not permitted to baby-sit, unless prior arrangements
are made. In the past we have had many groups with younger and older
children with great success. The Mexican Culture is very family-oriented
and your children will be most welcome by our staff. The villa has
a traditional baby bed with adjustable side rails, a portable baby
bed and high chairs that can be used by our smallest guests. |
| Is there a
minimum or maximum stay required at the villa? |
| No, if we can fit you into the calendar, whether it’s
one night or 30, we’ll do it. We do have a 4-person minimum
charge per night. This works out well, as smaller groups do not have
to pay a large rental fee when their group doesn’t use all the
bedrooms and does not need the large staff that a big group requires,
why pay for it if you don’t use it. |
