Las Alamandas is the ideal hideaway for seekers of beauty and the privacy of endless broad white sand beaches where the only footprints are your own.
The first thing you see as you enter Las Alamandas
is a blaze or Mexican pink on sun-drenched adobe
walls. Relaxation time is precious and no one knows
this better than Isabel
Goldsmith, who decided to share her paradise
with others. Ms. Goldsmith is the granddaughter
of Bolivian "Tin King" Antenor Patino,
who developed Las Hadas in Manzanillo.
Located
an hour and 45 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta
and one hour and 30 minutes north of Manzanillo,
Las Alamandas, completed in 1990, is a very exclusive,
small and romantic resort on the Mexican Riviera.
It’s a 1,500-acre private paradise of exotic
trees, palms, beautiful beaches, flowers, wild
birds and lagoons.
The six-villa
hideaway, which has only 14 guests suites to
accommodate a maximum of 28 people, is managed
like an elegant, private estate where guests may
feel completely at home. The villas have high-pitched
tile roofs, shaded terraces and white ceramic floors.
Walkways decorated with stone mosaic, wind through
lush gardens.
Each room is decorated in the jewel-like
colors chosen by owner/developer Goldsmith. Furnishings
are a pleasing mix of designs, fabrics and arts & crafts
selected from all over Mexico. Mexican folk-art and
hand-painted artifacts were personally selected by
Ms. Goldsmith to enliven each room.
Accommodations include large, hand-painted
Mexican tile baths featuring oversized tub and shower,
bidet, double sinks and a large open shelving, as
well as private terrace and full-sized living-dining
area. In addition, each villa features a mini-bar.
Transportation by privately chauffeured
car can be arranged to and from both, Puerto Vallarta
or Manzanillo airports.
The resort also features its own asphalt
landing airstrip (3,300
feet in length) capable of accommodating small aircraft
such as a Lear Jet 28, a King Air turbo Prop., etc.
Landing arrangements must be made in advance. More
about the airstrip. |
